Charity Fundraising Business Development


£10.00 to £11.00 per hour






If working within a charity appeals to you then this temporary role supporting the fund raising team may be of interest.  You need to be very confident on the phone as you are identifying business’s who could partner with the charity around fund raising.  No specific experience is essential; you just need to be keen, confident and happy on the phone.  4 weeks initially in Leeds city centre.

Job Profile:

Working for a charity supporting the fund-raising team in business development. Aiming to bring in new business that will fund raise or support the charity.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifying suitable businesses and approaching them via calls and emails
  • Updating a spreadsheet with the outcome and the in-house system if successful

Key Skills and Qualities:

The qualities are of great importance to this role:

  • You need to be confident on the telephone and also have accurate written English
  • You are bound to get a lot of “no’s” so you need to be resilient and maintain a friendly approach throughout
  • Any sales experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Be creative; you are also coming up with ideas on who to call besides warmer leads you will be provided with

Hours: Mon to Fri 35 hours per week

Salary: £10 – £11 per hour

Location: Leeds city centre
