Description

We are currently supporting a market leading brand with a reputation for excellence, in their search for experience Claims professionals to join their well-established, multi-award winning team, as Claims Team Leaders.

 

Due to active expansion as well as future growth plans within the business, we currently have multiple roles available. We are seeking experienced Claims professionals, specifically with a background in PI and Clinical Negligence.

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Claims, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the team performance. We require someone with the technical capabilities to assess and validate incoming claims, but who also possesses a strong understanding of what exceptional, award-winning customer service looks like, inspiring your team to be the very best.

 

This is very much a dual role between active day-to-day leadership in a team leader capacity, and leading by example with your claims team through dealing with claims and delivering high levels of customer service yourself.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Claims with the continuous improvement of the Claims Department
  • Assess and validate claims on behalf of your team
  • Working towards team and departmental monthly targets
  • Consistently striving for excellence
  • Produce and circulate timely and accurate performance, activity reports and spreadsheets as required
  • Be able to apply your knowledge and experience of the legal services industry to make quick, accurate and confident decisions within the team for those colleagues who require assistance
  • Help to develop and implement new opportunities, products and services to the team as part of the overall business delivery objectives
  • Work with the QA and Audit Lead to perform structured reviews of the work of your team, and deliver training and coaching accordingly
  • Assist in the recruitment of new team members
  • Attend and contribute to meetings and/or audits with clients, business partners or other suppliers as required
  • Prepare employee engagement plans, team briefings and team meetings
  • Lead from the front approach, taking some calls and dealing with claims yourself
  • Lead by example to inspire and motivate the claims team whilst ensuring that the general welfare and needs of the team are reasonably considered at all times to deliver a friendly and enjoyable environment and atmosphere

 

Experience, skills set and/or qualifications required

  • Strong understanding of the claims management process
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Wills/Probate, Employment Law or Conveyancing
  • Able to demonstrate technical competence in assessing new client enquiries (in one or more of the above sectors) to ensure thy are processed correctly
  • Familiar with the role and regulations of an authorised Claims Management company
  • Confident in leading remote-working teams
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive work ethic and inspirational approach to leadership
  • Being able to adapt well into a smaller scale / family run company environment
  • Ability to build professional rapport at ease at all levels

Hours: 35 hours per week across a 5 week Shift pattern Mon – Sat. Hours between 8am – 8pm

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE + Bonus

Location: Central Huddersfield
