This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience and is a determined, hardworking individual who loves a challenge

My client are a well-known,  leading legal services provider based in Wakefield who are currently looking for an experienced conveyancer to join their extremely busy team, working with the largest providers of conveyancing in the UK.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • To take responsibility for a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sale and purchase transactions of freehold, leasehold, registered, unregistered, shared ownership newbuild properties and Limited Company transactions
  • To proactively and efficiently manage Client related conveyancing tasks throughout the whole transaction, whilst managing Client expectations
  • To maintain regular contact with clients and ensuring regular updates are provided within agreed internal and external SLAs and within company procedures
  • To act in accordance with our regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care skills and achieve an NPS minimum of 40
  • To deal with the other side solicitors, mortgage lenders, brokers, clients and local authorities in an efficient and professional manner
  • Monitor and review pipeline ensuring this is regularly cleansed and updated and liaise with Team Leaders in relation to this
  • Ensure that client and office ledgers balance at the end of transactions and verify all monies and billing is correctly accounted for
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork and high performance, with a strong focus on customer care
  • Identify and refer complex queries to the technical team promptly for assistance and guidance in dealing with the matter
  • In addition to the above you are required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be required of this role

Skills & Experience required

  • Proven experience within a range of residential property matters, with the ability to progress transactions and manage caseload with minimal supervision
  • Capable of building strong and effective relationships, and be empathetic to deliver client needs
  • Have a good understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and any other regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work quickly and maintain high levels of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Assertive, calm, friendly and a good team player
  • Excellent ability to prioritise, work under pressure and adapt to meet client and business needs whilst demonstrating resilience
  • Be driven by a desire to provide outstanding client care
  • Strong problem‐solving skills
  • Strong Risk management skills
