This permanent vacancy will start on a temporary basis but only for a few weeks. It’s working within a busy, friendly, down to earth team. You need to be comfortable with sales office banter and have great communication skills.
The duties involve booking in routine maintenance appointments to attend both private and business properties to complete maintenance work. Some of this is done verbally (communicating with the public as well as business contacts) as well as by letter (templates are used).
You will work on an internal system which the faults team work from as well and you will work closely with them, checking when an engineer is attending a fault call it might be that they are in an area you can book them in for a maintenance appointment with other customers.
You need excellent communication skills, experience on both Word and Excel to produce reports (input level only on Excel is fine).
The hours are 8.30 to 5 Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch and the pay rate whilst temping is £8.50 per hour. The successful candidate would be appointed on a temporary basis for about 1 month with a view to becoming permanent after the month. This time is simply to make sure you are the right fit for the team and the role is for you. The salary is £16,500.
You will work closely with a cheerful, busy team. Your main colleague is confident and is a direct speaker – you need to be able to work within an environment where a blunt approach is accepted and bear in mind the level of banter that takes place in this kind of environment.
