Description of this role

We are supporting a high profile law firm in central Leeds with this highly responsible Credit Control role. It is a great opportunity for someone with 2 to 3 years experience in credit control. This role has a career progression route within the team, you will be encouraged to develop your skill set and abilities, gaining knowledge of the firm and their processes.


The Role


Credit control is an important function for this large law firm, with the team enhancing client turnover and minimising bad debts. This role would suit an individual who enjoys lots of client contact, has a calm manner and enjoys working in a challenging but rewarding environment.


Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for a ledger dealing with complex clients - working with the team using various tools available to ensure invoices are settled in a timely manner
  • Liaise with external clients, colleagues and legal teams within the firm, you will be the initial point of contact for any invoice queries raised
  • Lead on invoice query resolution, making recommendations for process change and supporting this transition
  • Support team members with challenging demands, assisting with strict deadlines and deliverables
  • Perform general administrative tasks

Experience, skills set and/or qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years credit control experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, target driven and inquisitive
  • Ability to build strong relationships with finance/Internal and external clients
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive and can do attitude to problem solving
  • Strong team player
