Description of this role

Jo Holdsworth Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a high-growth entrepreneurial organisation to appoint a Marketing Director. This is a pivotal, senior leadership role with significant influence over the future direction and commercial success of the business.

The Opportunity

 

The Marketing Director will be responsible for designing and delivering a best-in-class marketing strategy across a portfolio of businesses. This role goes beyond traditional brand marketing, with a strong emphasis on driving revenue, generating demand, and feeding the sales pipeline.

 

You will play a critical role in shaping the marketing function from the ground up - building structure, processes, and high-performing teams to support ambitious growth plans.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a high-impact, commercially focused marketing strategy across multiple business units
  • Ensure all marketing activity is aligned to lead generation and revenue growth objectives
  • Build, structure, and scale marketing functions within each operating business
  • Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing marketing teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed a sales-first mindset across the organisation
  • Implement effective processes, systems, and performance metrics to optimise marketing output

 

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role within a commercial, end-user environment
  • Demonstrated success in driving lead generation and supporting sales growth
  • Experience marketing services at a strategic level
  • A track record of building or transforming marketing functions in high-growth or entrepreneurial businesses

 

Candidate Profile

  • Highly driven, ambitious, and motivated by financial success and career progression
  • Able to operate at pace, prioritise effectively, and deliver results in a demanding environment
  • Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of marketing’s role in revenue generation
  • Self-starter with strong leadership capability and the ability to build teams from the ground up
