Description of this role

Administrator
Salary: up to £24,784.50 DOE 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, plus one Saturday morning (9:00am–12:00pm) approximately every 7 weeks

Do you have strong customer service skills and an interest in homes, interiors or furnishings? Are you organised, friendly and confident speaking to people?

We’re recruiting for an Administrator to join a busy and friendly team in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into an office-based career, so previous office experience isn’t essential.

You may currently be working in retail, hospitality or another customer-facing environment and be looking for an opportunity to develop your administration and office skills.

The role

You’ll be part of a busy team, supporting customers and colleagues with a variety of day-to-day administration. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming customer calls and dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner

  • Managing and responding to emails

  • Processing customer orders and enquiries

  • Inputting information and keeping customer records up to date

  • Supporting with general administration and data entry

  • Liaising with different internal departments to resolve customer queries

  • Ensuring information is processed accurately and efficiently

  • Providing a high standard of customer service at all times

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking to customers over the phone

  • Organised with good attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Confident using a computer and willing to learn new systems

  • A strong communicator with a positive attitude

  • Keen to build a career within an office environment

  • Interested in homes, interiors or furnishings

Previous office experience would be beneficial but is not essential. We’re equally interested in people with strong customer service experience who are looking for their first office opportunity.
