Description of this role

Are you an ambitious sales leader who enjoys building teams, creating structure and turning growth plans into commercial results?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing healthcare business looking for a Sales Manager to build and lead a new national outbound sales function.

This is a newly created role with genuine scope to shape the team from the ground up. You’ll recruit and develop Sales Representatives, introduce scalable sales processes and create a high-performance culture focused on customer acquisition, revenue growth and exceptional service.

It’s an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven, hands-on leader who wants the autonomy to create something new and make a visible impact.

The role

You’ll take ownership of an outbound sales function focused primarily on developing new business across the care home market, alongside supporting direct-to-patient services.

Working closely with field-based Territory Executives and wider operational teams, you’ll ensure opportunities are identified, developed and converted effectively, while delivering a seamless and compassionate experience for customers, patients and carers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting, leading and developing a high-performing outbound sales team
  • Creating the team structure, KPIs, coaching frameworks and performance standards
  • Developing and delivering sales campaigns across care home and direct-to-patient channels
  • Driving customer acquisition, conversion and revenue growth
  • Introducing effective prospecting and consultative-selling approaches
  • Building relationships with care home owners, managers and procurement teams
  • Working closely with field sales colleagues to generate qualified opportunities and maximise conversion
  • Improving CRM, telephony and sales processes to increase productivity and customer engagement
  • Monitoring pipeline health, forecasting, conversion rates and customer journeys
  • Using performance data and customer insight to identify areas for improvement and new commercial opportunities
  • Establishing reporting, governance and succession-planning frameworks to support the function’s long-term growth
  • Ensuring all activity meets the required regulatory, compliance and data-protection standards

About you

We’re looking for an energetic and commercially minded sales leader who can balance strategy with hands-on delivery.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience leading an outbound sales, business development or contact-centre sales team
  • Experience building, launching or transforming a sales function
  • A strong record of delivering customer acquisition and revenue targets
  • The ability to create meaningful KPIs and manage pipeline, forecasting and conversion performance
  • Excellent coaching and people-development skills
  • Strong commercial judgment and a data-led approach to decision-making
  • Experience using CRM, telephony or customer-management platforms
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to turn new ideas into commercial results
  • A customer-focused, consultative approach, particularly when dealing with sensitive or personal circumstances

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary and bonus opportunity
  • The chance to build and shape a new national sales function
  • Genuine autonomy and visibility within a growing business
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • 27 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional days
  • Health cash plan and 24/7 GP service
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life assurance and pension scheme
  • Paid volunteering days
  • A collaborative, energetic and values-led working environment
